Most people today seem unfortunately not to understand the spirit/essence of hip-hop. Graffiti is just one of the elements of this subculture, together with scratching dj's, rapping mc's, bboys/boogie boys (breakdancers, electric boogie dancers, lockers,...) and human beatboxes. The problem is that the oldskool-trueskool spirit has gone for a big part and that the culture has been "modified/manipulated. I see it also as a goal to bring the elements of hip-hop culture together, to give the educational and cultural aspect of the "real hip-hop" and not the fake one. In my Instagram account I try to give the message of it, with links to old-skool hip-hop legends like the members of the Rock Steady Crew. Within graffiti the meaning is to have fun and to try to do your "own thing". Looking for an original style that noone can take from you. Hip-hop tries to do its best to achieve more humanity, unity, positivity, freedom, love, creativity...
